Project Overview

Hill & Smith VRS successfully delivered a low-carbon vehicle restraint system (VRS) for the M20 Junction 5 scheme, aligning with National Highways’ sustainability goals. By using bluemint® recycled steel and renewable energy-powered manufacturing, the project achieved a verified carbon saving of 30,785 kg CO₂ without compromising on quality, safety, or delivery. Early collaboration and standard installation methods ensured seamless integration, setting a scalable precedent for sustainable infrastructure delivery.
